The PIRAT Punch 5" represents premium French engineering in FPV. Born in France and built by a crew of pilots who started making frames because the one they wanted didn't exist yet, PIRAT has grown from a small friend group into a globally recognized brand — without ever compromising on quality or rushing a product to market. Designed by pilots, tested by pilots, released when the team is actually happy with it.

A Brand Built Differently

PIRAT doesn't drop frames every two weeks to flood the market. Every frame that carries the PIRAT name has been crafted, tested, and approved by the full pilot team — Pdevx, Auxplumes, Fcore, J-true, and Fincky — before it ever reaches a customer. That process takes longer, but the result is a frame where every detail exists for a reason. No filler, no compromises.

Flexible Geometry — True-X or Squashed-X, Same Arms

One of the standout features of the Punch is its arm system, which allows you to configure the frame in either True-X or Squashed-X geometry using the exact same set of arms — just mounted differently. True-X gives you a perfectly symmetrical, balanced flight feel across all axes. Squashed-X shortens the nose and tail of the frame, stiffening the structure and giving a slightly different inertia that some freestyle pilots prefer. Two frames in one, no extra parts required.

CNC Aluminum Camera Cage with TPU Isolation

The camera is protected by a CNC aluminum mounting cage, secured with TPU parts that prevent vibrations from reaching the lens and cushion impacts. The aluminum handles the structural protection, the TPU handles the vibration damping — a combination that protects your camera better than a purely rigid or purely flexible mount ever could.

VTX Slider — Position and Isolate Your VTX

The VTX Slider system lets you choose the position of your VTX along the frame to save space where needed, while also electrically isolating it from the carbon. Cleaner builds, less interference, more flexibility in how you route your electronics.

T10 Torx Hardware Throughout

The Punch ships with a full T10 Torx screw set and a Torx key included. If you've ever stripped a hex screw mid-build, you already understand why this matters. Torx heads transfer more torque without slipping, which means no rounded screws, no frustration, and no stuck hardware after a hard crash.

Premium Construction

The arms are 6mm carbon fiber — an exceptional thickness for a 5" freestyle frame — delivering the kind of crash resistance that lets you fly aggressively without worrying about snapping carbon on every hard landing. The new sturdier standoffs and reinforced VTX sliders introduced in the second production batch make the frame even more robust than its already well-regarded first version.
