FlyfishRC Tony 5 O4 Pro Sub250 Freestyle 5" FPV Frame Kit
FlyfishRC Tony 5 O4 Pro - Sub250 Freestyle 5" FPV Frame Kit
In many countries around the world, the 250g weight limit isn't a minor detail — it's the difference between flying without hassle and having to justify your equipment at every turn. The FlyfishRC Tony 5 was built specifically to solve that problem without asking you to give up the experience of flying a real 5" freestyle quad.
At just 57g including essential TPU parts, the Tony 5 is one of the lightest frames on the market in its category. FlyfishRC designed it with a clear goal: make it possible to build a complete 5" freestyle quad that comes in under 250g all-up weight. They pulled it off — with the right component selection, the Tony 5 sits comfortably under that limit.
But what truly sets the Tony 5 apart from other sub-250 frames is that it doesn't fly like a compromise. Getting on the sticks with the Tony 5 gives you an agile, direct, connected feeling that has nothing in common with small quads that feel floaty or imprecise. This is a real 5", flying like a real 5", in a package that weighs like a 3".
The carbon is high-grade T700 — the same material used in the best frames on the market — with 4mm arms that strike the right balance between rigidity and impact resistance. The 4mm CNC aluminum camera plates protect your camera through crashes from every angle, a signature feature that FlyfishRC carries across their entire frame lineup and one that genuinely makes a difference when things go wrong.
This O4 Pro version comes ready for the DJI O4 system out of the box, with dedicated mounts and silicone shock absorbers specifically designed to eliminate jello in your footage. It's also fully compatible with analog cameras, HDZero, and Walksnail, and accepts both 19mm and 20mm camera formats.
To keep total build weight in check, FlyfishRC recommends pairing the Tony 5 with an AIO flight controller rather than a separate stack. A 20x20 mini stack also works well if you prefer more flexibility in your electronics setup. The included hardware is grade 12.9 with Loctite threadlocker pre-applied from the factory — no screws backing out, no surprises mid-flight.
A real-world reference point from FlyfishRC's own test builds: using a 40A AIO FC, CADDX Vista Nebula Pro, 2004 Flash motors, TBS Crossfire Nano, bi-blade HQ props, and a GNB HV 380mAh 6S battery, total all-up weight came in at 248.7g. If you plan to run the DJI O4 system, expect the all-up weight to land around 260g due to the O4's additional weight — still an incredibly light 5" build by any measure.
